MacBook Pro Woot!

As you all know by now, a few short days ago I asked Jenn (@JennJones) to marry me and she accepted my offer to a long life of Geekdom!

That being said, I thought I would get myself an engagement present!

I always wanted to own a Mac, but I could never afford the price of one. Now that I can afford one, I decided to lay in the lap of luxury.

Now I’m not saying that Mac or PC is better. Each have their advantages and disadvantages.

My PC is a wicked work horse, and now my Mac will be used to focus on media. Mostly video and audio editing.

I’ve played around with iMovie and GarageBand, and while they aren’t the full experience of audio and video editing, they suit what I do for the most part.

The backlit keyboard also comes in handy when I’m sitting in bed typing a blog post like I am right now.

I’ve also installed World of Warcraft on my MacBook Pro just to get an idea of the performance of this little baby!

I am happy with it now, and look forward to making many memories and GeekFamily media on this here machine!

Just a little update for now! We are still planning the wedding, and are most likely going to check out some venues this coming weekend to get an idea of what’s available and make a decision.
